However, Our liability to You in case of unauthorised data disclosure which is due to Our negligence is limited to £100.
4.4 Your credit card details are never seen by anyone at oceandigital.co.uk. All transactions run through Protx which communicates directly with our bank. ProtX validates your credit card by checking the details you entered on the payment page. This includes your billing name and address, which should be as they appear on your credit card statement. ProtX also check the Card Verification Value (CV2). This is the additional 3- or 4-digit security code found on the signature strip on the back of your card.
All data stored on ProtX systems is held on encrypted and highly secured databases. ProtX are regularly audited by Visa and MasterCard to ensure that their systems conform to the latest security standards.
4.5 During the process of fulfilling Your order We copy Your personal information to Our premises (this does not include your credit card details). We will archive order information here for Our and Your future reference and legal requirements. We will also periodically archive/delete information from the publicly available server when it has become stale or surplus to requirements. Items that are produced and contain private information (such as names and addresses) are securely disposed of if not required.
5. Disclosures of Your Information
5.1 Your information may be passed to and used by all of Our group companies. Save as set out in this Privacy Policy, We will never pass Your personal data to anyone else, except for any successors in title to Our business and suppliers that process data on Our behalf. We may also use and disclose information in aggregate (so that no individual customers are identified) for marketing and strategic development purposes.
5.2 From time to time certain third parties may have access to Your personal data, for example, third parties in charge of mobile communications. This is necessary for the purpose of order fulfilment.
